Below are the CSU Cercle Français activities that have been announced so far for the winter/spring 2025 semester. They are open to the public and in general, no RSVP is necessary unless explicitly mentioned.

  • May 5, 7 & 9 (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) 1-1:50p, Animal Science 135. Cultural Presentations: Cultural showcase by LFRE 300 French students. Choose one day or come to all!
  • May 6 (Tuesday) 7p, BSB 103. International Film Night: La Brigade (Kitchen Brigade), Comédie.
  • May 1 (Thursday) 2-3p, Microsoft Teams. Discussion on teaching English in France after Graduation.
  • April 30 (Wednesday) 8-9p, Microsoft Teams. Groupe de Conversation Virtuelle du Soir. For all students and community members from all levels, led by Le Cercle français’ Vice-president, Nicholas Hall.
  • April 30 (Wednesday) 3p, Lory Student Center Kindness Lounge. Group de Conversation, for all levels.
  • April 17 (Thursday) 3:30p, Eddy 105. Atelier de Pronunciation. Niveaux 100-200.
  • April 16 (Wednesday) 8a, Morgan’s Grind. Groupe de Conversation Dentendue. Niveaux 200-400.
  • April 12 (Saturday) 2-5p, AXIS International Academy (2700 S. Lemay, Fort Collins). Cultural Experience: Western African dance workshop and food. Come the whole afternoon or just for a bit! It will be a lot of fun! Organized by Cercle Français and community members. Free!
  • April 8 (Tuesday) 11a-2p, LSC Plaza. Cultural Experience: Live, Laugh, Languages festival (all-LLC clubs).
  • April 7 (Monday) 11a, Microsoft Teams. Cultural Presentation: La vie en pays francophones: Tesimonies from alumna in Fulbright and TAPIF programs, alec Lia Arreta, Zel Gabriel et Macy Palbaum.
  • March 25 (Tuesday) 8:30-10:30am, 1401 Duff Drive, Fort Collins. Visite de Mouco Cheese Company: free cheese tasting, in English. Only 10 spots! Sign-up (required) by sending an email to Frederique.Grim@colostate.edu. You will be get a tour of this cheese factory and sample lots of cheeses!
  • March 12 (Wednesday) 7p, BSB 103. International Film Night: Les Visiteurs, Comédie.
  • March 12, (Wednesday) 4-5pm, LSC 372-74. Education Abroad in a French-speaking country: Q&A, led by Dr. Gretchen Steidley and returning students from France.. Interested in studying abroad in one of the upcoming semesters? Come, listen student experiences, and hear about great programs!
  • March 6 (Thursday) 3:45-5:30p, Animal Sciences Demonstration Kitchen Room 169: Cours de Cuisine: Apprendre à faire des crêpes avec Chef Mari-Jo Hofmann. Only $5/student; $8/community member.   • February 26 (Wednesday) 8a, Morgan’s Grind: Groupe de Conversation Detendue (relaxed). For 200-400 levels, casual conversation.
  • February 25 (Tuesday) 3:30-5pm, LSC 372-374: Annual Global Career Panel. This annual event will bring 5 panelists who will share how languages been part of their professional and international journey. An array of professions and languages will be represented. This is also a great opportunity to network.
  • February 24 (Monday) 8-9pm, Microsoft Teams: Groupe de Conversation Virtuelle du Soir. For all students and community members from all levels, led by Le Cercle Français’ Vice-president, Nicholas Hall.
  • February 22 (Saturday) 5-9pm, Lory Student Center: World Unity Fair. Don’t miss out this fun university-wide event celebrating many cultures around the world! 
  • February 13 (Thursday) 7pm, BSB 103. International Film Night: La Princesse et la Grenouille (Disney).
  • February 11 (Tuesday) 2-2:50pm, Eddy 103. Cultural presentation: La gastronomie française au patrimoine culturel de l’UNESCO, by Mathilde Gislard, AXIS French Teacher.
  • February 6 (Thursday) 3:30-4:00, Eddy 105: Atelier de Prononciation – Niveaux 100-200. Come learn some tips to be more aware of your pronunciation of French and improve it.

  • September 27 (Friday) 6pm, Eddy 100: SOIRÉE ART (“CRAFT”) ET FRANÇAIS : – Join French Club officers for an hour of crafts (bracelets, origami, shopping bag making, fortune tellers, and more… you choose what you enjoy), snacks, and some fun time with other French students. It will be fun and relaxing! If you don’t like crafts, no problem, just come to hang out!

  • September 15 (Sunday) 4pm in the grassy area between the Eddy and Education buildings (west of Clark C; free parking south of the quad): PIQUE-NIQUE DE BIENVENUE : open to ALL students of French and the French-speaking community: so come to get to know each other better and your French instructors while chatting, eating and playing games.
